Author, speaker, and storyteller. Here's a little about who I am and why I write.
A Personal Invitation from Elise

My name is Elise Crawl, and I write under my maiden name, Elise Roberson. I was born in Chicago and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I love the Lord and am grateful for His faithfulness.
I am a mother who enjoys history, studying the Bible, traveling, exercising, and a good challenge. I also enjoy making people feel welcome and included.
I have a special place in my heart for the Seasoned Saints. Their wisdom, faith, and life experiences are treasures that deserve to be honored and celebrated. And if there's line dancing, you'll probably find me on the dance floor.
Has God ever asked you to do something that seemed impossible, unreasonable, or completely outside your comfort zone? That's where I found myself. Never in my life had I heard anyone testify to what God was asking of me.
Then God spoke: "You write about it."
Writing was never part of my career plan. Yet looking back, I can see that God was directing each scene, guiding each step, and completing a story that was always bigger than me.
Thank you for stopping by. I pray God's blessings upon you and your family.
The journey continues as I work on my second book, Held Captive by Common Sense.
What Drives Me
Every story I write starts with a truth God placed on my heart that I could not keep to myself.
I believe obedience to God's calling is the most courageous thing a person can do.
My purpose is to write stories that move people — from where they are to where God is calling them.
